the world was obsessed with him, and believe or not, we all still are.

he is the definition of “pop art”, but all he did was oh so simple. repetition of one image gave more meaning than a detailed one image, which made people go crazy over “icons”.

being in an art world, we talk about andy whole lot, but it was just the other day when i realized how much he is still effecting my world even after his death, just with his art. one of the most well known piece of andy’s work is marlin monroe. you know, the different colored marlin face printed over and over? yes. that exact “mode” was set up as “pop art” application of the mac photobooth.

i mean, what more can i say? his exact style is defined as “pop art” by apple, by the world. i didnt really like him much after seeing the “factory girl” hahahahaha (if there’s a prize for rotten judgement, i guess i’ve already won that) but i do respect andy’s work very very much. he opened up a new door to the art world!
